This is a live, acoustic, recording of Thanatos from Zone Zero Studio in Chicago from the summer of 2018. The show was held at WIlliam Faith and Scary Lady Sarah's studio. I had done a couple of shows where the recordings turned out poorly and I just wanted to do one more where I got it al ltogether. I played for a horribly long time (this version has all my talking cut out). The recording includes songs from every Thanatos record but one (I Am Not Job) and two tracks from the upcoming record, "Portland." This is basically what it would be like to have me playing in your living room....just imagine your liquor cabinet empty and you've totally got the vibe.

Thanatos began in the mid 1980s as an acoustic/electronic collaboration by Sam Rosenthal and Patrick Ogle. The first two records were "This Endless Night Inside" (1993) & "An Embassy To Gaius." (1995).The third LP was 1997's "Blisters" which featured Ogle & guitarist William Tucker. 6 addtional LPs have followed. Almost all of them are here. Or you can focus on it and realise that actually there's a lot going on in the texture and detail of the sound.
